The Wagner Ranch Green Team is hard at work to help minimize waste at lunch! Did you know that our students police the trash every day at lunch, making sure that our recycling stays clean? And our fifth graders collect recycling from ALL the classrooms once a week?

Help Minimize Waste at Lunch!
With very little effort on your part you can help in the following ways:

Pack an eco-friendly lunch - try to use containers that can be reused or wrap things in aluminum foil (which can be recycled) instead of plastic bags or wax paper.

Shop with an eco-friendly awareness - try to find snack foods that use less waste in packaging or that have recyclable packaging.

Talk to your kids about the importance of recycling - t
hey know a lot, for instance they probably know that at Wagner Ranch we are recycling paper, cardboard, aluminum foil, and plastic containers with the numbers 1,2,3,4,5, and 7. We are unable to recycle wax paper, plastic bags, wrappers, straws, plastic utensils and plastic containers with the number 6.

Thank you for helping Wagner Ranch in its effort to recycle and minimize waste!
